“In helping others, we shall help ourselves, for whatever good we give out completes the circle and comes back to us.”
-Flora edwards
We want all our students to be well rounded individuals
who are accepting of others' differences!

Character counts!
Every six weeks, we hold a school-wide character education development session focusing on one of the six pillars of good character.
We discuss:
-the definition of the pillar
-what the pillar means in our personal lives
-what it means to our school community
-how we can exemplify the pillar throughout the school year.

PBIS
Our schools use a positive behavior supports program. Each school has their own mascot but each follows the same program. Expectations for behaviors in all areas and situations in school are clearly outlined for students. These expectations are taught at the beginning of each school year and revisited periodically throughout the year. Our strategies are a proactive approach to promoting good behavior, as opposed to punishing bad behavior. Students are rewarded for following the rules and expectations. We have had this program in place for 3 years now and have seen only positive results.
dignity for all students act
Our middle school and high school strive to follow the Dignity for All Students Act. In accordance with this act, our school has taken a stand on dealing with harassment and discrimination. Our circular belief that all students are unified and can find a common bond really helps our students eliminate harassment and discrimination in and out of the school. We take an active part on teaching our students about the proper ways to use social medias, such as facebook, twitter, etc. Our school believes in educating our youth and teaching them about how to identify harassment and discrimination, how to deal with it, and who to talk to about it. We really pride ourselves on our low harassment and discrimination problems.
Stop Bullying

We are a school that accepts everyone despite any differences and therefore we do not tolerate any bullying. We educate our students on the dangerous of bullying, especially cyber bullying.
It is important for parents to be aware of the warning signs of a child who is being bullied. A student may be too scared to speak out, but we need to be aware in order to help them.
Parents can find more information about bullying at http://www.stopbullying.gov/

Circle time
![Picture](/uploads/1/4/9/2/14922388/2593127.jpg?1)
At our school we try to solve all conflicts immediately by talking through them. Students at any time can ask the teacher for circle time. This allows students the opportunity to get together to discuss their problems and to hopefully find a solution. Circles can consist of just a few students or the whole class.
Circle time is always confidential and students do not talk about what happens in circle outside of it. It is a way to resolve problems by letting everyone get what they want off their chests.
